District Intern Program - DIP

Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe

The Orange County Consortium Education Specialist Credential programs offer a variety of teacher preparation programs in special education, each accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). The department offers coursework and clinical experiences required for the Preliminary Education Specialist Credential: Mild to Moderate or Moderate to Severe Disabilities facilitated through an internship model.

Educators who hold a preliminary credential may pursue an added authorization area and/or a Clear Education Specialist credential. All program participants are supported and instructed by a community of professional educators, which will include a personalized combination of   an academic advisor, a practicum supervisor, a mentor,  a school-based peer coach, and course instructors.

We are now accepting applications for Fall 2013, Cohort 15, which will start August 7, 2013.  Program information and preconditions are listed below.
