Parent Infant Education and Support (PIES)

​​PIES is a regionalized program for infants with a hearing loss ranging in age from birth to 36 months.  The program is designed to serve children in partnership with their families.  The staff is skilled in various modes of communication and uses a comprehensive approach to develop language based on the needs of the child and family.
 
A trained teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing works closely with families to provide a language rich environment through home visits, parent education, parent/child playgroups and a center-based program.  A speech and language pathologist, paraeducator, school district Service Coordinator and site administrator provide support to the program.
