14th Annual Young Authors’ Faire
We invite you to:
“Celebrate Your Story”
The 14th Annual Young Authors’ Faire
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2015
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The Young Authors’ Faire is a community literacy showcase celebration for students that include opportunities to meet authors, illustrators, storytellers, and engage in hands-on literacy activities. This is the second year that we are partnering with the Orange County Public Libraries at three regional locations, including: Aliso Viejo, La Habra, and Tustin. All school districts will be assigned to a specific library location. (Note: If you are a private or charter school, you will be attending the location that your home district is assigned.)
We encourage your school to participate in any of the following ways:
Reserve a display table, for your school, to showcase student writing.
- Table displays are set up the day of the event. School leaders in charge of displays can be volunteers or staff.
- Your site can choose what writing to display, there is no specified assignment and all students can be showcased.
Schedule a student performance time
- Individuals or student groups can perform reader’s theatre, poetry, class writing, and more...
Attend as a guest
Engage in hands on activities, learn about summer literacy programs, interact with authors, illustrators, storytellers and more…
