Who Participates in Quality Start OC?
Over 500 early learning programs in Orange County participate in Quality Start OC, including school district, non-profit, faith-based, and private centers, family child care homes, and community partners that serve young children. Open-ended play is an essential part of promoting the 21st century skills of creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. This workshop is designed to help participants experience the power of play firsthand, and to learn strategies for integrating play-based learning, and open-ended materials within the classroom.

SEFEL Pyramid Model provides a systematic framework that focuses on promoting social and emotional competence, preventing challenging behaviors and teaching young children the appropriate skills to manage their emotions in social situations.
Dynamic Coaching: A practiced based approach to reflective conversations. This training is for Quality Start OC coaches, to build and refine coaching skills that support high quality instructional practice across early learning and care settings.
Quality Start OC CLASS Pathway Intro to Pre-K CLASS

SEFEL Pyramid Model Leadership Community of Practice
A Community of Practice is a group of people who learn together over time as they work in areas of shared passion or concern. The goal of a Community of Practice is to identify and address shared challenges. By doing so, the community seeks not only to help individual members advance their own work, but also contribute to the larger field. Our SEFEL Leadership Community of Practice will be a time for us to collaborate as colleagues regarding the implementation of the SEFEL Pyramid Model strategies in our programs.
Family Engagement Community of Practice
Family Engagement is a collaborative and strength-based process through which early childhood professionals, families, and children build positive and goal-oriented relationships. Come share your expertise and practice with other early childhood professionals in a community of practice.

Quality Start OC CLASS PathwaySupporting Instruction Through Hands-on Learning
This will be an interactive training where you will learn how to use strategies from the CLASS Instructional Support Domain by integrating them into your own lesson.
