This website contains facts about drugs that teens want to learn. It also discusses the myths teens have heard in school, real stories from teens that have abused drugs and a teen-to-teen blog where teens can talk about their experiences.

The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) for Teens

This website contains facts, real stories by teenagers, teen blogs, glossary of terms, and explains how the brain responds to drugs. It also has activities for teens, projects they can get involved in and videos they can watch.


The Cool Spot 

This website addresses alcohol abuse and peer pressure. It gives teens the facts and the truth about what they can actually expect from drinking alcohol, how many people actually use alcohol, tips on how to resist alcohol and other resources for teens to use.


Alcohol & Drug Education & Prevention Team

The Prevention Programs consist of ADEPT Health Education Team and contracted community- and school-based agencies that aim to create safe and healthy communities by reducing problems associated with alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use through education, training, and technical assistance for Orange County.

National Take-Back Initiative

Participate in the next drug "Take Back" day in your community.  Drop off unneeded meds safely and for free, no questions asked.  The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
