The Orange County Board of Education will discuss recommendations for reopening local schools during a public forum on Wednesday, June 24.
The forum, titled “Opening Schools Safely in Orange County,” is set to take place from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the Board Room at the Orange County Department of Education, located at 200 Kalmus Drive in Costa Mesa.
While seating will be limited to accommodate social distancing, participants can attend remotely through a Zoom link that is posted
on the meeting agenda.
Trustees are inviting a panel of speakers and members of the public to share input on returning students to campuses that suspended in-person instruction and transitioned to distance learning in mid-March.
Locally elected school boards are expected to work with their superintendents, staff and families to approve and implement plans specific to each district.
