Advisor Trainings

The Orange County Department of Education (OCDE) offers PAL Advisor and Peer Conflict Mediation Coordinator trainings. These trainings provide the needed skills for teachers, counselors, or other school administrators to develop a school site PAL program or peer-to-peer student conflict mediation program.  Click on Advisor Training for more information.

Technical Assistance

OCDE staff is available to provide support to trained advisors with programmatic questions, program development, network opportunities, and school site visitations. E-mail pal@ocde.us or call (714) 966-4453.

Information Dissemination

PAL advisors receive monthly email updates with activity ideas, funding opportunities, and other resources.  PAL groups are also highlighted in our monthly Update. 

Outstanding PAL Program and Outstanding PAL Advisor Awards

Each year, OCDE recognizes Outstanding PAL Programs and Outstanding PAL Advisors.  Certified PAL programs are eligible to apply.

PAL Conference

OCDE hosts an Elementary and a Secondary PAL Conference for peer leaders.  Workshops offered help build leadership skills and self growth.
