Student Workshops

The Orange County Department of Education PAL team offers two workshops for middle and high school students at no cost to Orange County schools. Each of these interactive workshops are designed to be presented in two 40-minute in-person or virtual sessions.

This interactive workshop builds the social and emotional learning competencies of self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making. Workshop Outcomes - Students will increase knowledge about what stress is and how it impacts their mental and physical well-being, and they will learn strategies to manage their responses to stress.

Students will increase knowledge about what conflict is and how they respond to conflict, and they will learn strategies to resolve conflicts peacefully. Each session supports the California Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework by building transformative social and emotional skills in the areas of positive conflict resolution, self-awareness, self-management, communication, critical thinking, responsible decision-making, and social awareness.

To schedule a workshop, please contact Deirdre Hill, Project Liaison, at 714-642-2772 or dhill@ocde.us.
