The Countywide Expulsion Plan represents a joint effort between the Orange County Department of Education and the 28 school districts in Orange County. The plan provides appropriate educational alternatives for expelled students and is updated every three years.

 

Pursuant to Education Code 48926, the Countywide Plan for Expelled Students includes documents from each school district that represents the triennial update for the educational plan. The plan has been reviewed by the governing board of each school district within Orange County and was adopted by the County Board of Education on May 13, 2009. In order to finalize the requirements of this mandate, the expulsion plan was submitted to Daniel Sackheim, Consultant in the Education Options Office of the California Department of Education in June, 2009.  The next update of this plan will be posted July 1 2012.
