The philosophy of P.I.E.S. is to provide early intervention which leads to greater language acquisition in the formative years of development. Studies have shown that the greatest growth in language occurs in children between the ages of 0 and 3 years of age.
Because no single communication methodology works for all children, the P.I.E.S. staff is skilled in various modes of communication and uses a comprehensive approach to developing language based upon the wishes of the family.
