The Support Services Department provides essential services and support to Orange County's school districts, community colleges, regional occupational programs (ROPs), charter schools, and other special districts. In addition, Support Services serves as a vital link between Orange County's educational agencies and local, state, and federal government agencies.
Our team is organized into specialized units dedicated to assisting school districts in key operational areas:
- Payroll Processing & Tax Compliance – Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while maintaining compliance with tax regulations.
- Retirement Reporting & Compliance – Supporting districts in retirement reporting and adherence to state and federal guidelines.
- Unemployment Insurance Claims Management – Managing unemployment insurance claims to assist both employees and employers.
- Local Control & Accountability Plan (LCAP) Support & Review – Assisting districts with LCAP development, review, and compliance.
- Application Support & Management – Providing technical and operational support for financial and administrative applications.
