The Charter Schools Unit (CSU) accepts new charter petitions and appeals on behalf of the Orange County Board of Education and facilitates the review process. CSU coordinates the monitoring and oversight of charter schools authorized by the Orange County Board of Education and provides general information and technical assistance to school district authorizers and charter school operators.
