FAIR Education Act: Implications on Classroom Culture and Practice (Two-Days, $100) October 10, 2019 and February 13, 2020 OR October 16, 2019 and March 31, 2020 The Orange County Department of Education is proud to present the Fair Education Act: Implications on Classroom Culture and Practice. The purpose of this professional learning is to understand how to make the classroom a Safe Space for all students. The secondary opportunity is focused on United States History content for grades 8, 11 and 12, and is a best fit for United States history teachers. See the attached flyer for further information. The elementary opportunity is a best fit for grades K-5 and will include lists of picture books with inclusive content at each grade level. The opportunity is a best fit for K-12 History/Social Science teachers who implement a research project that they would like to refine.
