Tier 3 Team Training
Intensive (Tier 3) supports focuses on the individual behavior of students whose needs are not met by the universal and secondary practices, and continue to demonstrate ongoing social emotional behavioral concerns. Student's do not need a specialized diagnosis to receive Tier 3 supports; these strategies are effective for all students.
OCDE offers a Tier 3 training series that spans two years. Year 1 "Installation" includes 4 days of training aimed at building systems to support Tier 3 implementation as well as training in the Prevent Teach Reinforce (PTR) intervention. Virtual coaching calls are imbedded within the training sequence to support successful implementation and understanding of PTR. Year 2 "Implementation" consists of two days of training to support the Tier 2/3 Intervention team in sustaining Tier 2 and Tier 3 systems as well as additional opportunities to build behavior plans for students via the PTR process.
