Artshift: "The Many Colors of Me"

This visual art project provides bedside art lessons with children who are hospitalized at Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC). An artist brings supplies and works one-on-one with the patient, and includes family members in the process.

"The Many Colors of Me" is an individualized color book designed by artist and presenter, Nancy Stewart, which elicits responses from each patient about themselves. The program is effective in releasing the fears of being hospitalized, allowing leisure time activity, providing educations opportunity, and inspiring the creativity in the patient.
