Each year the Angels Baseball Foundation works with the Orange County Department of Education and the program sponsor, Orange County Waste and Recycling (OCWR), to identify five (5) elementary schools to adopt each season. The schools are recommended to the Angels and the Angels Baseball Foundation by OCDE and OCWR, with a goal to highlight schools committed to green initiatives that support waste diversion education among teachers, students and families.

Angels Baseball will support each adopted school-site with the following:

  • Promote growth in literacy, STEM programs (e.g. Eco Challenge), mental wellness and other school initiatives
  • Optional baseball-themed programming focusing on leadership, integrity and diversity.
  • Black History Month Art Contest, Up-Cycle Challenge, Etc...
  • Grant for $2,000 from the Angels Baseball Foundation
  • School-wide assembly and player visit during the 2024 season (April/May 2024)
  • Angels game tickets for all students/staff to attend a 2024 Angels Baseball game at Angel Stadium
  • Adopt-A-School banner presented to each school.
