Student Services and Programs

The Orange County Department of Education’s Student Services and Programs division includes OCDE's alternative education programs along with a comprehensive network of supports for student well-being. This alignment creates a coordinated system that connects academics, behavioral supports and wellness services across Orange County.

What we do

Student Services and Programs oversees:

  • ACCESS (Alternative, Community, Correctional, Education, Schools and Services), which provides alternative education for students seeking nontraditional academic paths or facing significant challenges

  • Mental health and wellness services

  • Child welfare and attendance

  • Student records management

  • Enrollment and permit processes

  • Health services

  • Student discipline procedures

  • Support for students experiencing homelessness

  • Support for students in foster care
