 A 1-day teacher training, November 19, 2014 for grades 2-8 teachers of students who are gifted.  Learn best practices in Gifted Instruction and protocols to increase collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, communication and character. 
 
 
 

Gifted and Talented Teacher Network

This after school workshop for teachers (grades 3-8) will focus on best practices within the content areas and allow collaboration with teachers of gifted students from across Orange County. Learn from content experts and participate in an On-line Network of teachers to share ideas and resources.

Parent Night: Understanding the Social and Emotional Needs of Gifted Children

Featured Speaker: Sharon Duncan, Summit Center, Educational Consultant/Trainer

An educational night for parents and teachers. Awareness of common gifted characteristics and their associated behaviors is important to helping gifted children deal with the stress that often accompanies their gift. When recognized for what they are, these sometimes perplexing behaviors and traits can be managed in ways that allow children to reach their full social, emotional and academic potential. Common gifted characteristics and potential stress reduction solutions to them will be discussed.
