Orange County Youth Council

The OCYC includes students from across Orange County who are part of the Friday Night Live (FNL) chapter at their high school or are college students and members of the statewide FNL California Youth Council (CYC). These students serve as an advisory group to provide guidance and a youth voice for countywide substance use prevention and mental health promotion. In addition, the OCYC takes an active role in conducting related projects and activities to support substance use prevention efforts throughout Orange County.

The application process for the 2024-2025 OCYC will open on August 12, 2024 and information will be posted on this webpage.

Please note - You must be involved with Friday Night Live (FNL) at your high school for a minimum of one school year to apply for OCYC. If you would like to start an FNL chapter at your high school, please contact Elke Petras at 714-966-4458 or epetras@ocde.us.
