Youth development projects (YDPs) are student-led projects or activities that engage youth leaders to take active roles in tobacco prevention with their peers. Students participating in youth development projects will develop critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration skills as they promote healthy choices.
Campus-wide prevention activities promote and education students will the skills and knowledge to avoid tobacco use to all students on campus. These activities can be led by school staff, teachers, or students.
Each school is required to complete one campus-wide prevention activity and one youth development project annually.
