Language Learner Celebration

​​​​​​​The Orange County Department of Education is proud to host the Language Learner Celebration, which recognizes outstanding individuals and school districts who have contributed to the social and academic success of English learners or emerging bilinguals. Since 2013, administrators, teachers, paraeducators, support personnel, parents, volunteers, and board members from Orange County districts have been recognized for their commitment to this unique student population​.


 

Recognition Awards (for Individuals)

Orange County school district multilingual program leads can award up to two honorees whom they feel should be recognized for their outstanding efforts and service. Each participating district could determine its own criteria. Honorees will be recognized at the Language Learner Celebration event.


 

Advocacy Leadership Award (for Orange County School Districts)

The Orange County Department of Education is proud to present the Advocacy Leadership Awards to outstanding Orange County school districts. The award recipients will have demonstrated commitment to advocacy for English learners or emerging bilinguals and have developed and implemented high quality and innovative educational programs/initiative that align​ to one of the Principles and Elements of the 
English Learner Roadmap​. Award recipients are recognized at the Language Learner Celebration.​
