ACCESS Family Engagement Policy

 The Family Community Liaison (FCL) for Fischer AU serves as a bridge between families and the school program by promoting two-way communication. The FLC can direct families to the resources they need to support their child's education, such as transportation, counseling, and health and nutrition. At the Youth Reporting Centers, the FCL meets with families at enrollment to make sure families understand school programs, rules, and procedures. The FCL also provides bilingual support for families during school meetings and events. 
 Research tells us that family engagement in schools makes a big difference.  When schools, families, and communities work together, student achievement increases.  ACCESS welcomes and encourages family participation in a variety of ways.
